CHALLENGE:
Our client has a number of products that are available in a wide
assortment of sizes, configurations, materials, and finishes. They
wanted to provide a way to efficiently capture the required specifications
of their customers, and then produce a filtered list of products
that meet their criteria.
SOLUTION:
MarketSense developed a database of all of the products, their
variables, and the part numbers for each, totalling over 4,000 unique
parts. Each variable type was grouped in its own table, allowing
for selection by variable that produced a subset of products that
matched.
RESULTS:
Customers can now enter the specific product criteria that they
need met. They are then presented with a manageable list of options
that they can get further information on, along with the components
and part numbers needed to fit their specific criteria.
The ease that this functionality has brought to our client's prospects
has resulted in a steady stream of qualified leads, where the next
step in the sales process is a quote. In addition to configuring
their specific part, they can request quantities and provide their
level of urgency.
